Jan Hart
Working as an artist all her life Jan is presently experiencing great success with her atmospheric mixed medium works using oil pastel with either gouache of acrylic. She exhibits her award winning paintings widely and galleries show her work. Jan enjoys the challenge of commissioned works, doing demonstrations, taking workshops and working as an artist in residence. Encouraging others to explore their potential in which ever medium they choose to paint in is something Jan really enjoys as well.

I am self-taught. I have always had art in me but missed out in channeling my activity in that direction while at school and in my working life. It has taken until the last few years to release my energies into the subject.   Presently I like the medium of oils.  The subjects I take from real life and attempt to capture the mood of that time, attempting to draw the viewer into that moment.
